Living and selling in the North of Madrid

The North of Madrid brings together eight municipalities north of the capital, with around 375,000 inhabitants. Its core is the continuous urban area of Alcobendas and San Sebastián de los Reyes, along the A-1, one of the region's major business hubs. To the north-west, along the M-607, are Tres Cantos and Colmenar Viejo, and to the north-east, Algete, Cobeña, Fuente el Saz de Jarama and Valdeolmos-Alalpardo.

There is a bit of everything: flats from the 1960s to the 80s in the town centres, planned neighbourhoods of flats with communal areas, such as those in Tres Cantos, and some of the best-known estates of detached houses in Spain, such as La Moraleja. Prices are among the highest outside the capital. Transport relies on Cercanías commuter rail (C-4a to Alcobendas and San Sebastián de los Reyes, C-4b to Tres Cantos and Colmenar Viejo), Metro line 10 and the A-1 and M-607 roads.
