Campo Real lies about 35 km south-east of Madrid, on high ground with olive groves and cereal fields east of Arganda del Rey, in the Sudeste Comunidad area. It has around 7,000 inhabitants and is known throughout Spain for its marinated olives, the aceituna de Campo Real.
