Living and selling in Tetuán
Tetuán stretches west of the Paseo de la Castellana, from Cuatro Caminos to Plaza de Castilla, with Calle de Bravo Murillo as its main axis. Its origins are linked to the military camp set up in the area in 1860, and part of the district belonged to Chamartín de la Rosa until it was annexed to Madrid in 1948. In its south-east corner is AZCA, the business district with skyscrapers such as the Torre Picasso.
The housing is very varied: some old low-rise houses remain, there are many mid-20th-century buildings and more recent developments. It has Metro lines 1, 2, 6, 9 and 10. Its average price is clearly below that of its neighbours Chamberí and Chamartín, which attracts buyers who want to live close to the centre and the Castellana on a tighter budget. Cuatro Caminos and Castillejos, in the south of the district, are its most expensive areas.
- Metro: lines 1, 2, 6, 9 and 10
